A best friend, what does it truly mean?

A best friend, what does it truly mean?

To be able to be there for each other through the thick and thin. To be fully honest and transparent in love even when it’s super hard because you feel triggered but you want to deepen and soften and you know that by sharing through conflict, repair is possible. To have someone’s back even when it’s challenging to.

To speak life and truth into them, kindness and then transparency of how the other person can show up better in life.

Not just all rainbows and butterflies but truth bombs too.

For me it looks like talking highly of people. Not labeling or putting people down, or gossiping but having compassion for each person and taking ownership when there are problems too.

That’s been a biggie for me. It truly breaks my heart to be around women that gossip and put other women down even if they feel hurt. I find that for most of the time, the best person to talk to about the pain is the person directly.

A lesson for all.

How can we show up better in our friendships?
