In all seriousness, I’m so glad you’re here. I am Katherine, and it’s my mission in life to create images that feel like yourself in front of the camera. Well, that and to photograph you beautifully. But usually, those go hand in hand.

Hundreds of couples and families have trusted me to document their lives So many that I have photographed over 400 couples and families and I still love my job.
There is little I won’t do to get you to open up and be yourself in front of my camera. From the moment I meet you, I will make you feel so comfortable with a normally not-so-comfortable situation.
Almost every couple tells me that they don’t like having to pose for pictures. And I say, “Great! This won’t feel like posing at all.”
Your love story is your entire relationship summed up in a celebration. I want you to be able to focus on each other, your family, and all the emotion that comes with it. I don't want you to be worrying if you’re making this face or not.
I believe in spunk, jokes, and genuine joy. So let’s hang out, I will happen to have a camera, and you might be with your loved ones, but I promise it will feel natural.

I’m Katherine and I’ve been a photographer for over 15 years! I’ve gotten featured in TIME, People, Brides, ESPN and many more publications. But what is even cooler is that I’ve traveled all around the world to over 60+ countries traveling getting to know the people, culture and families. I speak English and Spanish and I adore getting to know people and culture deeply.
I’m an adventurous spirit, nature and city lover and a huge lover of all people. Kindness and compassion is very important to me and seeing everyone as equals.

Couple’s Portrait Session - Inviting you to fall back in love with your lover. Your person. Your soulmate. Let’s create poetry with photos through presence. I invite you into more of the way you adorn each other through noticing breath, noticing movement and inviting more of it. Subtly and through inviting you all to connect even deeper with each other. This is the magic.
Portrait / Branding Session - I’m here to invite more of you, your essence, your presence. Less about performance, more about being exactly who you are. Through breath, noticing, somatics, movement. Through feeling good from the inside out.
Family Portrait Session - I’m here to invite you to fall back in love with your family. Through noticing the subtle moments with your family. Whatever age they are, I’m here to capture these special moments with those that are there for you in the long term.
My Process: My process is about helping you feel more like you, Not how you think you should look but how to feel good internally. With my background in being a dancer, somatics for 6 years, I invite more presence into your session with my background of photography for 15 years.
The results are you feeling amazing about who you are internally and photos that look and feel amazing.
Locations:
Sept 1st - Sept 16th - Raleigh / Durham, North Carolina - My home of 4 years. Imagine the love of these photos of you, your loved ones pouring into your home on the walls.
Sept 17th - Oct 2nd - NYC - Every time I spend time here, I feel alive in my bones. Family is huge for me here. Imagine the city pouring through your bones through the photos. With your loved ones, family, babies. Also would love to do some shoots in upstate NY, the beach during the autumn breeze.
Oct 12th - Oct 25th - Cuba - I’ve been wanting to go here for a long time. My father was from here and have been wanting to connect to these roots. I would love to offer sessions here for those that also want to deeply connect to the land, people, culture and create photos together. Also as someone that’s traveled a lot over 15 years, I would make sure we are surrounded by friends and good people during our time here.
Oct 26th - Nov 5th Mexico City / Oaxaca - I would love to offer sessions with those that want to honor the people here and also make beautiful photos together, and experience an adventure. It will be during Halloween and Dia de Los Muertos which is really special here in Mexico. I’ve traveled in Mexico for 2 years and it’s a very special place to me. I’ve always felt very safe.
Nov 5th - 16th - Costa Rica - I’d love to offer photo sessions for those wanting to connect, make art and relax here. The beaches, the rainforest, waterfalls, and the wild animals. I want to offer this to those wanting to deepen their relationship of love through photos.
Nov 16th - 24th - Columbia - A dear sis of mine lives here. And Columbians, Low key obsessed with them. Like family. Let’s make photos in the beaches and explore nature together taking photos.

We will hop on the phone to chat about the experience you want to have and get to know each other.
50% non-refundable retainer to book the session. 50% due at the day of the shoot.
Pricing:1-2 Days of Shooting - $3500
2-3 Days $4500
Packages include film photography, polaroids, an online downloadable gallery.
To include a storytelling through video story, it is $1000. We will create an audio piece through it.
Travel and accommodation is not included.
Frequently Asked Questions

For portrait sessions, 50-75 photos per day. Shooting on film.
If we are shooting 2-3 days then 75 images per day.
For elopements, up to 200 images.I’m shooting on film photography, not digital which a very slow process. :)

I shoot both digital and film. Film costs around typically around 100-500 dollars depending on how much film is being used.

We receive the images up to 6-10 weeks.
In New York and Raleigh Durham, delivery up to 3 weeks.
Since I am developing film, I will need to ship the film. When I am in Cuba, Mexico and Columbia, it will take longer to receive since I will ship it internationally.

50% paid upfront and 50% due on the shoot date.

1-3 days. I’d love to get to know you all and see how many locations we want to shoot and feel into it. Getting to know you all is super important part of the experience.

Over 60+ countries. I adore it so much. I traveled in a backpack for 2 years at one point.
These days I like to travel a little bit more relaxed and slowly but I would say sometimes I’m a super boujee traveler eating fine dining and other days I’m super down to earth traveler super low key in nature. But the people and the culture are the most important.
I speak Spanish as well so I would be able to help you out during the process of traveling to Mexico, Cuba, Costa Rica and Columbia.
