This was taken of my two dear friends of mine when I lived on the Eno River in Durham, North Carolina.
I was going through heartbreak and loss of a romantic relationship and I was in the thick of the grief in the heart and all I knew how to move through it was through creating fine artwork with these two friends. We spent time on the river connecting to the land, the waters and making what looks like a painting through this photo.
“Nurture and Be Nurtured” is a reminder that through any grief and heartbreak, there is a tunnel through the joy again. There is a light and even if you can’t see the light right now, just trusting in God and the truth that there is a light is the first step.
This is reminder to allow yourself to be nurtured and to continue to nurture your heart.
